Taberlay Wins US Cup Series Title.

Team H2O Overdrive / Sho-Air/Specialized pro rider Sid Taberlay wrapped up the inaugural Kenda Cup West Series men’s pro cross country title with his convincing win at round # 5 in Santa Ynez on Sunday.

Heading into the event, Taberlay needed to place 9^th or better to wrap up the Kenda Cup West series with a round to go over Kenda/Tomac/Hayes rider Andy Schultz and third place rider Manny Prado also of the Sho-Air/Specialized team.

From the beginning it was clear Taberlay wasn’t leaving anything to chance as he broke away from the 25 rider field on the day’s first significant climb.  From there Taberlay was in a league of his own as he put more time into his rivals on each of the 3 laps, including Kenda Cup West series second place rider Schultz, who would end up third on the day.

In the end, Taberlay cruised home with a comfortable win, his third in five races of the Kenda Cup West series and in doing so, added the Men’s Pro Cross Country title to his championship resume.
